Kiko Kostadinov's unique and fresh approach to tailoring contributes to why he continues to be one of the most exciting designers in our current landscape. From the get-go, these concepts sunk hooks into consumers' brains, from 00022017's Hospital Shirt to 00092020's Klees Double-Lapel Blazer, each season's hero pieces tend to revolve around tailoring. Kostadinov himself admits he was still learning, and yet to master his craft, iterating from season to season. Despite this his grasp on silhouettes is undeniable. Take last winter's Solon overcoat. Traditional at a glance, it features a three-button hidden placket, with notched lapels and a gorgeous wool twill blend. Closer inspection reveals well-thought details, contrast waffle jersey trims at the shoulder and pit allow for increased movement, pleating around the waist pockets and sleeves, with continuous stitch detailing covering pockets anteriorly and cinches posteriorly. This adds to a coat that, despite it's multitude of details, results in an incredibly well-fitting and flattering coat, that accentuates shoulders and lengthens the body. Comes with original tags. RRP $2400.
