One to always experiment with silhouettes, and iterate on silhouettes and how fabrication interacts with said shapes, Kiko Kostadinov's extensive shorts offering plays right into this. The baggy short was out in full force for 000142023 (SS23) titled "Zlatyu". Dubbed the Kreuk shorts, they feature an absolute masterclass in pattern-making, with darted dual pleats deep in the front, and interesting overlying pocket arrays. and a cinchable bottom that plays into the flow of the garment. These came in multiple interesting fabrications; a high pile steel alpaca fleece, jacquard cotton/line lime green, teal wool garbadine, iridescent copper polyamide, and this iteration. The most warm-weather appropriate of the lot, Kostadinov utilises striped cotton poplin, a common fabrication within shirting to create a flowy, billowy short. In my opinion, this fabric synergises best with this silhouette, highlighting movement and drape in the best possible way.
