80s Schott Leather Bomber Jacket

Vintage leather bomber by hall-of-fame American leather goods purveyors Schott NYC. Starting off in the 1910s as solely a creator of motorcycling garments and accessories, their penchant for construction and function first design has caused the company to last well into the 21st century. This particular jacket is likely from the 80s, due mainly to the boxy cut with shorter sleeves. The silhouette itself is a direct reproduction/reference to the A-2 Leather Flight Jackets worn by United States Air Force personnel during the Second World War, with it's thick leather and wool ribbing protecting the wearer from the harsh elements, whilst the boxy and shorter fit allowing comfort when worn by a seated individual (as it won't bunch etc.). This reproduction is a bit more pared back with an updated fit. It still features ultra thick calfskin leather, tanned, and broken in with a lovely patina developing over time, wool blend ribbing, dual front closure, and dual entry front pockets. The inside is lined with a jacquard cupro for comfort against the skin, and exposed zipper track designed for zipping in a liner layer (which is unfortunately missing from this particular product).
