Knit - the AW 2007 collection from Undercover does not just highlight knit materials, but the process of knitting several mediums and textiles together. Creating a retro-future utopian appearance with clean lines and a relatively muted palette, the garments of Knit subtly infuse the punk tendencies that Takahashi is so well known for, as well as expanding on the ideas of dress-up first introduced in 2003’s Paper Doll. This top combines many different materials, textures, and weights that seem to work so well together, with wool knit panels, flowy silk, and even MTF. This results in a mid-length top that is amazing for layering, or worn on its own.
