Miu Miu’s rave-themed Resort 2017 collection featured a bold, rave-themed aesthetic with motifs that would come to define the resurgence of Y2K in today’s fashion zeitgeist. One such motif was the footwear. A focus was placed on racer boots and platform ballet flats, the latter of which is what we have here. A Frankenstein of multiple styles, the satin ballet flats are stacked on top of a platform sole trimmed with jute, a core part of espadrilles and other such footwear styles. On top, a satin-constructed ballet flat is overlayed by two leather midfoot straps, with optional satin footwraps included in the box to change up styling which are looped into internal stays to keep them in place
