Austrian born Carol Christian Poell (often shortened to CCP) is second to none when it comes to cult following. Incredibly obscure and notoriously difficult to find any personal information on, the Milan based designer takes pride in this avant garde obscurity. Grotesque tailoring meets unconventional materials and techniques and results in an incredibly bizarre and artisanal body of work. These are his classic derby shape, with a low profile and pointed toe. The material sets these apart, his ROOMS line is cut from Kangaroo leather, which is super soft and gives off an amazing irregular patina, combined with a unique object dyed finish to the vegetable tanned leather resulting in a myriad of beiges and browns. Further adding to the depth, parts of the leather are cracked and aged, which just plays into that grotesque anaesthetic. Vibram rubber soles so it's all protected. Incredible shoes and just amazing quality. Again, this will be the best price you can find anywhere.
