Auralee

SS23 Finx Garbadine Pleated Slacks in Ink

Ryota Iwai’s Auralee is a relatively new kid on the bloke, only founded in 2015. However, this is not a slight at all on their product. Minimalism and quiet luxury are synonymous with the brand, with their focus being squarely put on fit and fabrication, with not a single graphical element in site. Known especially for their knitwear and denim, they take pride in their use of unorthodox and incredibly rare fabrication. Often, their cotton garments are crafted from "Finx", a type of incredibly rare Egyptian cotton that has very long fibres, meaning it is incredibly comfortable and soft against the skin. Here, the cotton is crafted into an incredibly flattering high waisted silhouette, with double inverted pleats creating volume and shape, with a classic V-waistband and cinch back. The cotton is also treated in a very specific way, garment dyed to create a uniform charcoal colour, before receiving further treatment along the side seams to mimic sun fading and acts as a nod towards sportswear garment styling.

These retailed for an exorbitant $800 so you know I'm taking a massive L here. Unfortunately they're too big for me just because they are so high waisted.
