In the late 90s and early 00s, when Martin was still designing at his namesake house, there were idiosyncratic pieces throughout his core lines, that of Line 0, 10, and 22 (womenswear, menswear, and footwear respectively). Motifs such as the Tabi detailing in footwear, 2D garments in womenswear, and other such flourishes like the four white stitches holding the tag on, which were supposed to be cut off after purchase to maintain the ultra minimal aesthetic, have become synonymous with the house, regardless of Martin's direct involvement. One of the staples of Line 10 Menswear were the "Waistbandless" trousers, a very minimal and pared back trouser that saw differing fabrication and fit from season to season, but all carrying a distinct lack of a waistband. The rest of tailoring integrity is maintained despite this, the waist band is lined, darts can be found over the rear pockets, and tacks are found where the belt loops would've attached. The fly is shortened, the metal hook found on many line 10 pants becomes the first closure of the fly, with horn buttons trailing down. No front pockets, but there are two rear patch pockets, and a coin pocket at the right thigh. This pair is a soft and lightweight cotton poplin, perfect for spring/summer, and features a breezy straight fit. It's faded over time, and has picked up some wear and tear most of which has been repaired (pictured). The signature stitches on the tag have also been repaired.
