A piece from my personal collection that I have held on to for far too long without actually wearing it. This blazer from Ann Demeulemeester is likely from the early 00s and features an all-over jacquard motif appearing cracks. A twill with a different texture and grain is woven together with the plain weave cotton base to create a tonal pattern throughout. The different weights and tensions in the fabric create interesting pulls and tugs present on the interface between the two mediums, creating a grungey and almost punk look. Some sunfading over the shoulders and down the sleeves almost adds to this look. Fulled lined, with all the usual blazer accoutrements.
