Y/ PROJECT

Peep Show Stone Washed Denim Jeans

Glenn Martens' pedigree and design language are unique and instantly recognisable. With a background in interior architecture, Belgian born Martens graduated with flying colours from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts joining as a junior designer at Jean Paul Gaultier before moving on to assist at Y /Project under founder Johan Saferty. In 2013, after Saferty's unfortunate passing, Martens' filled his shoes and jettisoned Y /Project into one of the most notable brands at the moment. The "Peep Show" Jeans are a perennial style. As with so many of his other designs, there is an sprinkle of Y2K and his architectural background in his designs, with a distinctive sexy edge. Although it appears like a simple pair of stonewashed denim, the rear yoke is actually cut out, with a separate denim panel underneath, adding depth and gives the option for the wearer to show their underwear or some skin.
