Eden Power Corp.

SS21 "Enoki" Hooded Jacket

One from the personal collection, a regretful sale, but it's time for this beauty to find a new home. The now defunct Eden Power Corp was the brain child of power couple Isaac LaRose and Florence Provencher Proulx whilst short lived, made leaps and bounds in championing sustainable fashion practices without compromising both form and functionality. Almost all of their products were crafted in North America, making use of smaller businesses, and materials solely of either organic or recycled origin (and in some cases, both). The Enoki Jacket, named after the edible fungus, is possibly their most iconic silhouette. Somewhat sportswear inspired, again with both form and function in mind, the first iteration of was released in Spring/Summer 2021. Organic cotton twill, completely unlined, with a boxy and adjustable fit. Full zip through front with high neck. Snap detailing throughout that allows adjusting the fit in the body, sleeves, and also the hood. The attention to detail is incredible, the entire internals of the body features French seams with partial yoke lining and tack stitching at points of stress, all features that are common in tailoring but here is brought to a more casual piece. Retailed for $960. Worn, but heaps of life left. I wouldn't mind keeping this one.
